Smart TV setup without buying anything new
Most televisions sold in the last few years can run an IPTV player. Here is how to tell whether yours can, and what to do if it cannot.

The first question we are asked is almost never about channels — it is "will it work on my TV?" In most cases the answer is yes, and no extra hardware is needed. Three things decide it: the operating system your television runs, its age, and whether your regional app store still carries an IPTV player.
Find out what your television runs
Samsung sets use Tizen, LG sets use webOS, and Sony, Philips, TCL and Hisense usually run Android TV or Google TV. Android TV is the easiest of the three: the Play Store carries several IPTV players and installation is identical to a phone. Tizen and webOS are more restricted — they carry a smaller catalogue, and older models sometimes cannot install anything new at all.
A quick test: open your app store and search for a player by name. If it appears, you are ready. If it does not, look under "all apps" or the updates section before concluding it is unavailable — store search on television sets is famously literal.
The setup itself takes four steps

Install a player — IPTV Smarters Pro on Android TV, or IBO Player on Samsung and LG.

Choose the Xtream Codes login rather than an M3U link — it loads the guide and on-demand library too.

Enter your username, password and portal URL exactly as sent. Paste rather than type — remote keyboards cause most login failures.

Wait for the first sync. Ten seconds is normal; a couple of minutes is normal on a large library.

When the app simply is not there
On a television older than roughly 2018, the store may no longer offer new applications. This is a limitation of the set, not of the subscription. The fix is an inexpensive external player: a Fire TV Stick or a small Android box turns any HDMI television into a modern streaming device, and the same subscription runs on it unchanged.

Three habits worth adopting
Use ethernet where the cable can reach. Restart the player rather than the whole television when a channel stalls. And keep your login details in a note on your phone — you will need them again the next time you change a device.
